OCTOBER 2007

Club News:

For our October meeting, we will visit the Wilder Kentucky Fire Department, South Station, 1426 Gloria Terrell Drive. The meeting will be at 7:30pm on Tuesday , October 16th.

The Wilder South Fire Station is located off of Route 9 (AA Highway), south of I-275 next to, almost behind the Shell Gas Station. Directions, coming from Ohio, are west on I-275 to the Wilder exit, Route 9. Turn right (south) onto the AA Highway. Travel south 4 traffic lights, to Gloria Terrell Drive (Waffle House and McDonald's will be on the left corner). TURN RIGHT onto Gloria Terrell Drive. Go about 500 feet, just beyond the Shell station, and turn left. You should see the station. Parking is around the back of the station. If you like we can stop by the north station after the meeting. For those coming from I-75 and I-71, get to I-471 and head south to west I-275. Follow directions above.

A big thanks to Chip Lytle for hosting a wonderful afternoon in Middletown exploring his collection of fire apparatus. Thanks to all those who cooked the food and helped set up, clean up, and make the 2007 club picnic a super success. Great job!

Our webmaster Bill Strite would like remind the membership to continue to submit photos & information to publish on the club website. Bill can be reached at webmaster@milesgreenwood.org
